When your actions and words are congruent you display a very high level of confidence. The funny thing about confidence is you know you have it but others will only see it in you when you show some results that back your words. These results are cracking big exams, getting big sales, an invitation for a big talk etc. See the primary word is big which means it has to be significant enough that few or only you in your circle of influence has achieved it.
Trust Circle
You need some people who get you way before you start showing evidence and that’s when your spouse, family members, close friends and mentors play a significant role. They already know your potential and are ready to bet on you. They will not at all be surprised when you do accomplish a breakthrough. You need them alongside because the period of non-glory is a bit far longer than you can estimate. These people ensure that you reinforce the trust in you.
Don’t bait your hook with food you like. Bait your hook with food fish like.
Dale Carnegie
Your actions while you prepare for the big exams or saying multiple No to the deal you don’t find profitable. Your circle of influence will always push you to be in your safe zone and will guide you to take no risk. They don’t understand the language of your confidence and what you are thinking. That doesn’t mean you are right and they are wrong. It also doesn’t what you are thinking will produce results and make you successful. It means in order to get the big result that you desire will require work that the big result likes and your circle of influence will not like the work because they don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Calculated Risk
More often than not when you get the results you will be made to think that your gut has some intuitions that helped you to succeed. You cannot claim your victory 100% and you must not. There are a lot of factors that come into play and what you do is be the director of the movie to navigate towards the desired outcome. However, you have to know that you have developed a systematic business acumen that has helped you to take a calculated risk which no one else can see before the risk is taken. It’s you who connect the dots that bring in so much upside that your rest of failure automatically turns into learning.
