Vision

The reason why you are in business makes a lot of decisions simple. It not only helps you find the right clients but also the right team members who believe in your vision.

Golden Circle model: Sinek’s theory value proposition

We want to give access to affordable and valuable data science for every Sustainability Analyst so that they stand a chance to save our planet by guiding businesses to become more responsible.

Draft 1

To give access to affordable and valuable data science tools for every Sustainability Analyst so that they stand a chance to save our planet by guiding businesses to become more responsible.

Draft 2

The second part of the above vision has great clarity and is even affordable + valuable also added a sense of purpose. The big problem is however that we are not solving a burning problem.

I could relate the USP of cost innovation mentioned in yesterday’s article will enable us to build tools that are more affordable and valuable. However which problems does it solve for the Sustainability Analyst? On the contrary, you can argue that there is no data science tool that there are affordable and valuable available in the market. You are solving the access problem. It’s still not clear to understand.

There is something about when you put your head on the bed you come up with ideas and that’s what exactly happened. Here is a draft with solving problems, in this case giving solutions (valuable insights)

To help Sustainability Analysts with affordable ways to find valuable insights so that they stand a chance to save our planet by guiding businesses to become more responsible.

Draft 3

In the morning I went into reviewing the sentence with my wife and she asked me a few questions. Below is the results/outcome of all those questions.

It still doesn’t say how we are going to do it, which is really not required but it makes more sense as a small company to be able to explain ourselves better. Here we added means and access

73bit aims to give every sustainability analyst affordable means to find valuable insights so that they stand a chance to save our planet by guiding businesses to become more responsible.

Draft 4

The question of affordable access of what? came in the discussion.

73bit aims to give every sustainability analyst affordable access to data science leading to valuable insights so that they stand a chance to save our planet by guiding businesses to become more responsible.

Draft 5

Now we are getting close so time for some big edits to remove the mass from the statement. The big claim of saving planet earth. It’s the indirect effect of our work but we can be subtle about it.

73bit aims to give every sustainability analyst affordable access to data science leading to valuable insights

Draft 6

Now the reason and purpose of the vision are missed. This is counterproductive. So putting it back by mentioning the word to become more responsible.

73bit aims to give every sustainability analyst affordable access to data science leading to valuable insights for businesses to become more responsible.

Draft 7

Final touch by adding the action that the sustainability analyst will do using the insight, that’s guiding.

I later shared the vision and its rationale with my business partner Gautam and with our mentor Carlos. They agreed with the final draft. This will be the vision of 73bit.com

73bit aims to give every sustainability analyst affordable access to data science leading to valuable insights for guiding businesses to become more responsible.
